A Valentine's Dinner at King Chef

Celebrating Valentine's Day this year was more meaningful and special for Lee and I. We had a simple family dinner... yes "family"... because now we're complete, we're a family, we have our baby Liam! Actually, it's our second time to celebrate it with Liam around, but this time it was different in the sense that he was already a toddler now and knows how to interact, respond and appreciate the things around him. Unlike last year, he was still an infant and just slept the entire day. I'm so excited for V-Day 2012 because it will be added to Liam's "firsts" list. This time, we celebrated it at King Chef restaurant in Banawe, Quezon City.

The interior of the restaurant was nice, well-lighted, modern yet one can immediately tell that it's a Chinese restaurant because of its color motif and staff's uniform. I love their chandelier, unfortunately my phone's camera was running out of memory space that's why I wasn't able to take photos of it. They served us a complimentary appetizer (peanuts) and house tea.

We ordered Crispy Noodles with Seafood, Spareribs with A-1 Sauce and Barbeque Pork Asado, all in small sizes which is good for 3-4 people.

The Crispy Noodles with Seafood was perfect for me. It has generous amount of seafoods and the noodles were indeed crispy when it was served to us. My son, Liam, loved the noodles and had eaten a lot of it.

Crispy Noodles with Seafood Php320.00

I'm quite disappointed with the Spareribs with A-1 Sauce dish. The meat was kinda tough for me, I find it difficult to cut and chew. Thus, I barely touched this dish, just had a piece of it. But for my husband, Lee, it was perfectly OK, oh well, that's just my opinion.

Spareribs with A-1 Sauce Php270.00

The Barbeque Pork Asado was just fine with me. The meat was tender although a bit dry, but it was OK since it came with a separate sauce.

Barbeque Pork Asado Php295.00

Overall, we had a nice dining experience here. The staff were very accomodating and attentive. They were quick to take our orders and served them fast. We'll try to come back here to sample their dimsum promo. ;)
